Set ten years after The Phantom Menace, Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) is now a senator whose life is threatened by a breakaway group from the Galactic Republic. While Anakin (Christensen) escorts Padme to the safety of her home planet, Obi-Wan goes on the trail of an elusive bounty hunter and discovers a clone army being constructed at the edge of the galaxy.
