The criminal drama television series by David Lynch first aired in 1990 and followed with 29 episodes. The success of the series was the mix of criminal film (the exposure of a murder of a girl in the small town of Twin Peaks), soap opera (ironic) and mystery film (surreal elements). The show influenced other shows like the X-Files. The soon became a cult classic and spawned a feature film.
