Help:Languages

The omdb frontend is available in 4 languages: English, German, French and Spanish. The underlying data remains the same, only the abstracts and articles for an item changes and titles are localized.

To switch between languages, use the menu on top of each site. The language is usually determined by the subdomain: “en.omdb.org” for English, “de.omdb.org” for German and so on. But if you use “www.omdb.org” the language depends on your browser setting or on your omdb setting if you are logged in. Keep this in mind if you link to an omdb page or use the embedded frames (Help:EmbedMovieInformation). If you want the recipient of your link to see the omdb page in his language, use “www.omdb.org”, if you want him to see it in your language, use the adequate subdomain.

It is possible to add other languages to the 4 already available ones. If you want to translate omdb into your language, just contact us. But keep in mind that there are quite a lot of texts to translate and that omdb changes constantly, so you will have to do additional translations from time to time.
