Lost in Translation is the widely successful debut film of Sofia Coppola. Set in Tokyo under the bustling city life and lights, the two main characters from different generations build a surprising friendship on their common bond of insomnia and boredom. The film is a slow, dreamy and at times hilarious look at their relationship and the city through which they're aimlessly drifting.
