A sensitive melodrama by François Ozon, in which Charlotte Rampling plays a wife whose husband disappears without a trace on the beach. As she is unable to come to terms with his death and does not seek any help, she then begins to lie to herself that she can still see her husband and talk to him. Those around her react with irritation.
