At the end of the 1960s, Rapayet, a member of the Wayuu tribe in Colombia, is determined to marry the young Zaida. To get the high bride money set by her mother Úrsula, Rapayet and a friend sell marijuana to Americans. The trade quickly flourishes, but the business becomes increasingly brutal.
