At the beginning of cinema, there was only black and white movie, i.e. the sequence of moving images could only be seen in black and white and their mixed colors. The first color movies were made from 1935 onwards. Black-and-white movies are still being made today; these are often art films or movies whose plot speaks for itself even without colors.
